The vertical bands of color act as barriers—symbols of expectation, routine, and limitation that confine the creative spirit. Within this restraint, the artist’s brush hangs suspended, reaching downward as if searching for release, attempting to paint beyond what is allowed and into what is felt. Beneath the layers of control and pressure, the work speaks to an unyielding desire to create freely, honestly, and without restraint.
