6, 9" x 9" works of torn papers, acrylic monoprints, threadwork, and book ephemera, sold as a set.

This series of Three Squares describes a day of blue light—the early morning hours, the buzz and bop of an imagined song, the crazy stitch of a solitary dance, and then the curtained end of day. The Squares are built of torn cyanotype papers, threadwork, and book ephemera.

This original poem, carrying the implied song of the day, has been hand typed on an old typewriter, bound inside khadi paper, and included in the series.

It was always blue, there,

in the first hour of dawn,

while the final dream was collecting its schemes,

and passing. Blue in the mind

of you, then in the pooled shadows

in the close corner of the room,

a spider weaving

its separate cerulean hue.

When you rose, your heart rose with you.

When you rose, the bird sang,

then another bird,

until the morning was the long song

of glisten on blue.

And then the afternoon.

And then the pale start of a new moon.

And then the air moving through:

Jazz.

Rumba.

The incoming breeze of indigo blue.
