RESIDUE
A TEZOS DROP / GALLERY SHOW
COMING AUGUST
Curatorial statement
Residue
7 years in this lo-fi renaissance and we’re staring at a riot of glitch, grain and generosity. Of work minted in bedrooms, attics and parent’s basements. No gatekeepers and no expectations. This drop is about that cultural residue.
Residue invites artists shaped by the early Tezos scene, or inspired by its ethos, to reflect, rework, and respond. What stuck with you? What fragments remain? What continues to pulse beneath the surface, long after the first wave of mints?
This is a celebration, a recognition of what's been built, what’s been carried forward, and what still clings in color, code, and memory.
The early days are fading. But the chain lives on. And the residue remains. Residue drops on August 20th as a digital drop and a physical show Submissions opened till July 30th
ARTIST BRIEF
A group drop + physical show
Tezos / Objkt / August 20, 2025
Submissions open through July 30
Seven years into this lo-fi renaissance, and the signal is still humming.
From bedrooms, attics, and basements came a wave of work that needed no permission. Minted in solitude, shared with generosity. Tezos in the early days was pure experimentation—unfiltered, uncurated, unexpected. What’s left now is something deeper than nostalgia. It’s residue.
This project is about that residue—the cultural and emotional trace that remains after the first wave. The glitch in the archive. The fragment that still pulses.
Residue invites artists shaped by the early Tezos scene—or moved by its ethos—to reflect, rework, and respond. What stuck with you? What textures, ideas, or feelings linger? What have you carried forward, consciously or not?
This isn’t about looking back. It’s about honoring what persists.
A celebration of the layers, the leftovers, the code-stained corners that still matter.
